The main attraction was its size and the "free batteries for life" offer. The little batteries are indeed surprisingly potent. I haven't run one dry in a day's work yet. The free for life thing will take a while to evaluate. The construction doesn't seem as solid as my Panasonics but it is much smaller and lighter. My only real complaint so far is that the variable speed trigger is not very sensitive but I am used to the smooth action of the Panasonic (after all it is half the Panasonic's price).
